Company History
The Rose Knot is owned and managed by Heather Koonse. In 2005, Koonse graduated with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design/Product Development from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She moved to Charleston to design for Gianna Costas. In 2006, Koonse began working for Spinster Clothing making environmentally friendly apparel. At Spinster Koonse designed women's wear, children's wear and accessories all made from re-purposed clothing and vintage fabrics. When Spinster discontinued making clothing, Koonse decided to start her own company, The Rose Knot. Inspired by the Spinster philosophy, Koonse continues to recycle as much as possible in all aspects of her work.
